Students will be evaluated in accordance with;

Quizzes & Class participation     10%

Mid-term exam                           40%

Final                                           50%

Participation: Discussion among students in the class is at the heart of this course. You are expected to participate actively in these debates (not only attendance, also the quality of your contribution). Attendance in every class of the term is not mandatory, but each class may include a quiz affecting your final grade. The class will be much more interesting and enjoyable if you do the reading prior to class and participate in class discussion (you'll also get a better grade). If you are habitually late, the participation portion of your course grade will be marked down substantially.
